Much to Love About Portable Storage

Moving can be such a hassel sometimes. Between packing, loading and transporting your belongings, it can seem like a huge ordeal. However, I have discovered something that makes moving so much easier. It is a little secret called portable storage.
It all started about six months ago when I decided to move from the hustle and bustle of New York City for a more tranquil life Upstate. My career as an author of juvenile literature affords me the luxury to live almost anywhere, so employment would not be a factor. One thing that did worry me was getting all of my junk from point A to point B, since none of my friends owned trucks or SUVs.Comically enough, I knew few people who even posessed a car, let alone the kind of house on wheels I would need to tranport all of the stuff I have accumulated! I turned, as usual, to the internet for solutions to my problem.I found do it yourself companies, which allow customers to drive themselves and their things in a moving truck, but frankly I did not want to drive a huge truck one hundred miles after being carless for ten years! Besides, I had so many things, I doubted I would be able to fit it all in one of those dinky trucks. I considered hiring movers, but that was way out of my price range and I had terrifying daydreams of some guy named Sal accidentally smashing my crystal vase into a million crystal shards. Clicking on the link, I started reading. The simplicity of portable storage boggled my mind! Many of the portable storage companies could have a unit waiting at my place in twenty four hours. That eliminated the stress of waiting. Also, I was not on any sort of timeline where I had to have my packing done in a day or so.
It seemed that portable storage was too good to be true. Not only could I control the process of packing so everything went according to my wishes, but I also would not have to drive a huge truck all by myself! The icing on the cake is how inexpensive portable storage is, along with the fact that I could keep a unit on my property as long as I wanted if I could not fit all of my belongings into the cottage. I decided on portable storage right then and there.
The day of my move, everything went according to plan. I had over a week to pack everything, so when I woke up that morning, all I had to do was hop on a train to meet them Upstate! Easy as pie. We quickly got everything I wanted into the house once I arrived.Now my portable storage unit sits outside under an inconspicuous tree, waiting for when I need to unpack the rest. I have to say that not only do I love my new home, but also that my move was totally painless, thanks to the convenience of portable storage!
